Thermo Scientific Pierce Streptavidin and NeutrAvidin Coated Plates are pre-blocked and ready-to-use polystyrene 96-well and 384-well plates for binding biotinylated antibodies or probes for ELISA and other target-specific assays.
Thermo Scientific Pierce Streptavidin and NeutrAvidin Coated Plates are available in 96-well and 384-well plate formats and pre-blocked with BSA or SuperBlock Blocking Buffers. These Pierce Biotin-Binding Plates are available in clear, white and black plates can be used with colorimetric, chemiluminescent and fluorescent detection methods, respectively.

Streptavidin and NeutrAvidin Protein are not glycosylated which prevents nonspecific lectin-binding observed with avidin coated plates. Biotin-binding plates are ideal for applications when direct adsorption to polystyrene denatures antibodies or the target molecule. Streptavidin has an isoelectric point of 5-6, resulting in low nonspecific interactions. NeutrAvidin Protein has a near-neutral pI (6.3), resulting in even lower nonspecific interactions. NeutrAvidin Protein has an additional advantage of lacking the bacterial RYD sequence found on streptavidin, which eliminates nonspecific binding due to the RGD binding domain of adhesion receptors present in a variety of cells. NeutrAvidin Protein has the lowest nonspecific binding among the known biotin-binding proteins.
